Shot and with a bullet fragment lodged in her skull from the same weapon that had killed her mother, she arrived terrified and in critical condition. Following surgery and months of dedicated care, she is now eating well, playing, and growing more confident every day under the watch of Luci, a female gorilla who has taken her on as her own.
