Why do we need your support now?

Due to the coronavirus crisis:

  • our sanctuary is closed to visitors
  • our volunteer programme is suspended
  • our planned major fundraising events have been postponed
  • our income has fallen and our basic running costs are rising

But our work caring for over 280 rescued gorillas, chimpanzees and monkeys must continue, and we need your support.

What can you do to help?

To help us continue our essential work providing sanctuary for our orphaned apes and monkeys during this very challenging time, please donate whatever you can to Buy a Gorilla a Dinner.

You can also raise funds for us by hosting a digital dinner party and asking each of your guests to donate to our appeal. Please download our Buy a Gorilla a Dinner fundraising pack, which includes a menu and recipes for your 'forest feast', as well as factsheets about some of our rescued gorillas.

How will your donation help?

The coronavirus pandemic is having a huge impact on our income, and we need your help to provide food, medicines and care for our orphaned apes.

  • £125 can feed all 25 of our critically endangered gorillas for a day
  • £40 can feed alpha male Bobo's family for a day
  • £5 can feed silverback Shufai for a day

We know that these are difficult times for everyone, but if you are able to give, your support will make a very real difference on the ground in Cameroon. Every contribution helps, and we are very grateful for your support.
