Wow! Gorillas comes to Cameroon!


Children at the local Metet school in Cameroon got the surprise of their lives recently when a gorilla arrived in their classroom! The visitor - a gorilla sculpture - was given to the children to decorate and keep by Bristol Zoo as part of ‘Wow! Gorillas’, a public art event to celebrate the zoo’s 175th birthday. The 63 students, aged 6-12 were invited to create a design for the gorilla, then helped bring their favourite to life with brightly coloured paint.
