My life with gorillas – Rachel Hogan

Rachel Hogan has dedicated her life to raising orphan gorillas, chimpanzees and monkeys whose families have been slaughtered by hunters as part of the illegal bushmeat trade. Rachel now manages Mefou National Park primate sanctuary in Cameroon for Ape Action Africa.
Rachel, star of Animal Planet’s “Growing up Gorilla” and “Going Ape” series, will be will be talking about her experiences in Cameroon. If you would like to meet Rachel and hear about her life with gorillas, contact Bristol Zoo for tickets....we look forward to seeing you!

Gorillas: in zoos and in the wild - Sharon Redrobe
Thurs 26th Nov 6.30 – 9pm
Sharon Redrobe, a specialist zoo vet, lectures internationally on zoological medicine and has been the Head Vet at Bristol Zoo for 10 years. She will be discussing her fascinating and ground-breaking vet work with gorillas both at Bristol Zoo and in Cameroon.

Sharon has recently returned from an interesting visit to Ape Action Africa so come along to Bristol Zoo to hear more.
