Kept as a pet for most of his young life, we know little about where or how David was housed or how he was treated. Somewhere between two and three years old at rescue, he was malnourished and underweight and showed almost no natural chimp behaviours at all. He took to life in sanctuary very well at first, but when faced with the task of meeting and integrating with nine other young chimps, his challenges had only just begun.

To take action and help support David for the next year with food, medicine and care, just complete our online adoption form.
